Amazon Web Services Introduction
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a subsidiary of Amazon that provides cloud computing platforms and APIs on an on-demand, metered, pay-per-use basis to individuals, businesses, and governments. AWS is a cloud computing service that provides on-demand cloud computing platforms and application programming interfaces (APIs) for robust, scalable, and low-cost cloud computing services. AWS uses secure storage, high-performance computing, and integrated data analytics to support a new breed of distributed, connected applications, helping companies reduce time-to-market and increase customer satisfaction. AWS is made up of many different products and services in the cloud computing space.
AWS is trying to get companies to switch from physical computing technologies to the cloud. AWS is a widely adopted cloud platform offering on-demand services such as computing capacity, database storage, content delivery, and more, helping companies scale and grow. AWS is a collection of cloud services for building and running a broad array of applications and services on top of highly available hosting environments. This AWS service offers a safe integration between the on-premises and storage infrastructures on Amazon Web Services.
AWS Managed services -- Managed services offer administration of the AWS infrastructure, which allows the focus on your applications. AWS Database Domain Service offers a highly secured cloud platform and links your physical network with a high-speed VN. Amazon RDS -- This Amazon Web Service service is easy to configure, run, and scale your own relational database in the cloud. EMR (Elastic Map Reduce)-- This analytics service from Amazon Web Services is mostly used for processing large data such as Spark, Splunk, Hadoop, etc. AWS is a cloud platform offering cost-effective, scalable cloud computing solutions.
