1. Getting Started - JSF 2.0 with Netbeans 7 and Primefaces

Requirements :

  • Netbeans 7
  • Glassfish Server
  • PrimeFaces 2

No Need to download all. Go and download Netbeans 7 and everyhting come with Netbeans bundle. and PrimeFaces is an open source JSF component library.Read more about  PrimeFaces 

Open New Project in Netbeans

File -> New Project

Create New Web Application:

Java Web -> Web Application


Project Name and Location

Project Name -> Demo ( Your Project Name)

Project Location -> Your Workspace Location

Setting Server and Java EE Version:

Server : GlassFish or Apache Tomcat 7

Java EE Version : Java EE 6 Web

Choose Frameworks

Choose -> JavaServer Faces

and Server Libraries - JSF 2.0



Choose Components

In Components Tab:

Components Suite : PrimeFaces 2.2.1

Run Web Application

Select Project Name and Right Click run

Output in Browser
